Even though the album “Family Christmas” in my library has been there since 1. November when it was also his “street date”, here it is in front of you just a day after Christmas and it’s good that it is, because the album is of this Christmas theme but besides that it is a full blues albumer, which if you haven’t, be sure to get and include in your collections.
Stacy Jones and her band come to us from the Washington Blues Society and they are undoubtedly moving forward with their new musical projects. Anything that is of quality and stable in knowledgeable hands becomes even more expressive and brings us to almost the act … which is good … it is well… and that is a wrap!
Stacy Jones, with her distinctive vocals and music, is literally gaining a bigger and bigger number of devotees at an extremely high speed. Her charged, explosive energy, played musical sections, which are undoubtedly presented by vanserian musicians, is wrapped in a blue, highly emotion-charged cloak. Of course, it all gives a very impressive picture of the musician herself, but of all those involved in the making of this album. The result? An excellent holiday album, which every now and then forces the listeners to rhythmically move their heads, tapping their feet in an catchy rhythm and tapping their palms on their thighs. Stacy Jones sounds so catchy, so good and what else to write except they won me over on the first one a long time ago and I immediately became their fan!
Stacy has performed alongside Elvin Bishop, Lee Oscar, John Nemeth, Ian Siegal, Charlie Musselwhite and it shows her worth and yes, there’s no doubt her complete affirmation is absolutely unquestionable. Stacy Jones is adorned with stunning vocals, strong composing potential, strong, dynamic arrangements and these are extremely powerful, in fact excellent prerequisites for that global affirmation.
Personally, I believe that with this kind of gig will soon gain as many devotees as possible around the world, and not only those who love blues, but all those who love good music. With this holiday album of hers ”Family Christmas” gives listeners a strong musical message, which is just a step higher, Stacy and the band offer us a completely accurate picture of this album, because however we take it, it’s Christmas, but it has blues in it. So in famous songs Stacy Jones spills that blues mojo and spills this whole story in her completely original way. With this approach, Stacy gives a new dimension to the perception of blues in the service of Christmas atmosphere and atmosphere. In the end, we get a very impressive musical background in which the upgrade goes from Stacy herself, so we get compositions that capture attention with their structure and effectiveness.
