Iako je album ”Family Christmas” u mojoj fonoteci još tamo od 1.studenog kada je bio i njegov ”street date”, evo tu je pred vama samo dan nakon Božića i dobro da je tako, jer album je ove božićne tematike ali je pored toga full blues albumčina, koji ako niste obavezno nabavite i uvrstite u svoje kolekcije.
Stacy Jones i njen band dolaze nam iz ”Washington Blues Society” i svakim svojim novim glazbenim projektom nesumnjivo idu naprijed. Sve ono što je kvalitetno i postojano u znalačkim rukama postaje još ekspresivnije i dovodi nas pred gotovo čin … što je dobro … dobro je… i gotovo!
Stacy Jones svojim osebujnim vokalom i glazbom doslovno izuzetno velikom brzinom stječe sve veći i veći broj poklonika. Njena nabijena, eksplozivna energija, usvirane glazbene dionice, koje nedvojbeno prezentiraju vanserijski glazbenici umotana je plavičastim, visoko emocijama nabijenim plaštom. Naravno, sve to odaje vrlo impresivnu sliku same glazbenice, ali i svih onih, koji su bili uključeni u snimanje ovog albuma. Rezultat? Odličan blagdanski album, koji svako malo slušatelja tjera na ritmično gibanje glavom, udaranje nogama u zaraznom ritmu i lupkanje dlanovima po bedrima. Stacy Jones zvuči tako zarazno, tako dobro i što još napisati, osim da su me već davno prije osvojili onako na prvu i da sam odmah postao njihov fan!
Stacy je nastupala uz Elvin Bishopa, Lee Oskara, John Nemetha, Ian Siegala, Charlie Musselwhitea i to ukazuje koliko vrijedi i da, nema nikakve sumnje njena potpuna afirmacija je apsolutno neupitna. Stacy Jones krase zadivljujući vokali, snažan skladateljski potencijal, snažni, dinamični aranžmani i to su izuzetno snažni, zapravo odlični preduvjeti upravo za tu globalnu afirmaciju.
Osobno, vjerujem da će ovakvom svirkom ubrzo steći što veći broj poklonika diljem svijeta i to ne samo onih, koji vole blues, već svih onih, koji vole dobru glazbu. Ovim svojim blagdanskim albumom ”Family Christmas” slušateljima daje snažnu glazbenu poruku, što je samo stepenica više , Stacy i band nude nam potpuno oprečnu sliku ovakvog albuma, jer kako god da uzmemo je Božić, ali u tome ima bluesa preko glave. Dakle u poznatim songovima Stacy Jones ufurava taj blues mojo i cijelu ovu priču isfurava na svoj potpuno originalni način. Ovakvim pristupom Stacy daje jednu novu dimenziju percepcije bluesa u službi božićnog ozračja i ugođaja. Na kraju dobijemo vrlo impresivnu glazbenu podlogu u kojoj nadgradnja ide od same Stacy, pa dobivamo skladbe, koje plijene pozornost svojom strukturom i efektnošću.
